ATHENS --
Georgia safety Bacarri Rambo, briefly unconscious after a late-game collision with an Auburn receiver last week, is doing fine by all accounts.
"He's ... playing around, laughing and stuff," teammate Bryan Evans said Tuesday.
Evans said Rambo has limited recall of the play on which he suffered a concussion.
"He didn't actually remember what happened at the time, but after he's seen it [on video], he kind of remembers stuff around the injury," said Evans, who added that Rambo doesn't remember the Sanford Stadium crowd chanting his name.
Rambo was hospitalized overnight Saturday, and extensive tests revealed that he suffered no injuries beyond the concussion. He won't play this week and has been unavailable for interviews.
Richt said Evans and Reshad Jones -- the starting safeties -- probably will get more playing time this week with Rambo, the third safety, sidelined. It's too soon to know whether Rambo might play next weekend at Georgia Tech, Richt said.
"We're just going to hope he'll stay symptom-free for the rest of the week," Richt said.
King's blocking
Richt had high praise for a "beautiful block" thrown by tailback Caleb King that gave quarterback Joe Cox time to pump fake and throw for Georgia's first touchdown last week, the 50-yarder to Israel Troupe.
"If Caleb doesn't do the job he does on that play, we don't score, and maybe we don't win the game," Richt said.
