New Georgia special teams coach Scott Cochran will earn $550,000 next year, according to UGA’s response to an Open Records request filed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Cochran, hired to Kirby Smart's football staff Feb. 24, will have a base salary of $325,000 with $225,000 more in supplemental income. According to AL.com, Cochran earned $590,000 as Alabama's strength and conditioning coach last season.

Cochran replaces Scott Fountain, who joined the staff of new Arkansas coach Sam Pittman  — Georgia's offensive line coach for the past four years — in January.
