Former Georgia Tech center Ben Lammers was cut by the Charlotte Hornets from their mini-camp on Tuesday.

Lammers had been invited to participate in the 19-player camp that preceded the Hornets’ participation in the NBA summer league in Las Vegas that begins Friday. The team, which opened its camp on Monday, cut six players and then signed another player for a 14-man roster. The odds were against Lammers, as nearly all of the players retained were Hornets draftees, already on the roster or played last season for the Hornets’ G-League team.

Going forward, Lammers could play in the G League or consider options overseas.
