It appears at least one member of the Hawks basketball operations staff will be joining Kenny Atkinson when he takes over as head coach of the Nets.

Atkinson, the Hawks’ lead assistant, will be formally introduced by the Nets on Monday after it was announced he would take over the franchise last month. Hawks’ video coordinator Jordan Ott may be joining him in Brooklyn.

Hawks point guard Jeff Teague posted to a shout out to Atkinson and J.O. on Twitter Thursday. Teague wrote: “S/o to Kenny and J.O. Brooklyn is getting a grade (sic) head coach and one my favorite assistant coaches #DotheRightThing”

J.O. is Jordan Ott. He has served as the Hawks’ video coordinator for the past three seasons. While a deal is not officially in place, it is headed in that direction.

Atkinson and Ott have worked together as part of the Hawks’ Las Vegas Summer League coaching staff. Also, Ott worked with Atkinson when he coached the Dominican Republic National Team last summer.
