De’Andre Hunter

Forward

6-foot-7, 225 pounds

College: Virginia

Why Hawks fans may enjoy this pick: Hunter has a very balanced game, and he has the potential to be a good, young complement to Hawks point guard Trae Young. He's able to get to the rim and shoot from inside and outside. His basketball IQ is great, and he knows how to read defensive coverages against him. He also is a respected defender and can alter and block shots at the basket.

Why Hawks fans may not enjoy this pick: Hunter isn't as good at rebounding as one would like. At Virginia, he played in a system that was slow and methodical in a half-court offense, so he doesn't have much experience running in transition. The speed of the game at the professional level could be a big adjustment for him. He is good at catching and shooting, but he needs to work on his ability to create space for his own shots.
