The Hawks will not sign guard Jordan Sibert to a second-day contract, according to a person familiar with the situation. Sibert was signed to a contract on Feb. 20 and his 10-day deal expires Friday. He was assigned back to the Hawks’ NBA G League affiliate in Erie (Pa.) on Thursday.

Sibert, 26, appeared in one game for the Hawks. He played four minutes and made his only shot, a 3-pointer. Before the signing, Sibert appeared in 34 games for Erie this season, including 26 starts. He averaged 15.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.5 minutes.

The Hawks announced the signing of guard B.J. Johnson to a 10-day contract on Friday. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the pending signing of Anderson earlier this week. Johnson has played in 38 games (31 starts) with the Lakeland Magic of the G League and averaged 14.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 29.8 minutes.

Johnson will wear No. 5.

The Hawks host the Bulls Friday night.
