The Hawks announced Friday morning they have waived Armoni Brooks, Marcus Derrickson, Tahjere McCall and Jordan Sibert.

All four played sparingly in the Hawks’ exhibition games.

Brooks had 3.5 points in 8.5 minutes per game, appearing in four games total, Derrickson had 1 point and 2 rebounds in 6.5 minutes per game, appearing in two games, McCall had 1.7 points in 7 minutes per game, appearing in three games and in one appearance, Sibert had 14 points in 12 minutes.

The team also announced the signing of forward Kenny Gabriel, who played three seasons at Auburn and played for Turk Telecom in Turkey last season, averaging 9.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 42 games (35 starts).

This is likely a move made to secure Gabriel’s G League rights.

Bearing in mind Gabriel will likely be waived in the next few days, the Hawks will still have an open roster spot remaining, since that will put them at 14 players, with two two-way players in Charlie Brown and Brandon Goodwin.
