Jordan Ott, who spent the past three seasons as the Hawks’ video coordinator, will indeed join the Nets as a member of new head coach Kenny Atkinson’s staff.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported earlier this month that Ott was likely to join Atkinson, who was recently announced as the Nets head coach after four seasons as an assistant with the Hawks. The details have been worked out and Ott will leave the Hawks for the new position of assistant coach/manager of advanced scouting, according to a person familiar with the situation. The Nets have not announced the hire.

Atkinson and Ott have worked together as part of the Hawks’ Las Vegas Summer League coaching staff. Also, Ott worked with Atkinson when he coached the Dominican Republic National Team last summer.

Before joining the Hawks, Ott spent five seasons as the video coordinator for the Michigan State men’s basketball team.
