The Hawks have about a 14 percent chance of winning the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft lottery and will select no later than seventh.

The Magic (25-57) beat the Wizards on Wednesday, leaving the Hawks (24-58) and Mavericks in a two-way tie for the NBA’s third-worst record. The Hawks and Mavericks will have a roughly equal chance of winning the lottery.

A weighted lottery is used to determine the top three picks via a random drawing of ping-pong balls. The remaining lottery teams selecting in reverse order of record after the top three. The Hawks will select no later than sixth or seventh, depending on the result of a tiebreak with the Mavericks determined by a random drawing of ping-pong balls.

The Suns (21-61) have the top odds to win the lottery (25 percent). The Grizzlies (22-60) have about a 19.9 chance to win the top pick.

The draft lottery will be held May 15 in Chicago.
