The Hawks have assigned rookie DeAndre Bembry to the NBA Development League. The guard/forward will play for the Salt Lake City Stars via the flexible assignment rule.

The length of stay has not been determined. The Stars play three games this week, at the Erie Bay Hawks on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (ET), at the Delaware 87ers on Friday at 7 p.m. and at the Maine Red Claws on Sunday at 1 p.m.

It will be the fourth assignment for Bembry, all one-game stints with the Stars. He averaged 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 32.7 minutes in the three games. Bembry had a .578 field goal percentage.

With the Hawks, Bembry has appeared in 30 games and averaged 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 9.6 minutes.
