Center Dewayne Dedmon, who missed Wednesday’s loss to Orlando with right elbow pain, underwent a non-surgical procedure to address the pain on Thursday, the Hawks announced.

Dedmon will be out for three games while he recovers (vs. Brooklyn Friday, vs. Portland Saturday and vs. Memphis Monday).

He will be re-evaluated Monday to determine his status and availability. After Monday’s game vs. Memphis, the Hawks have three days without a game before they face the Wizards in D.C. Friday, so that could give Dedmon some additional time to heal.

Since the Hawks acquired Dedmon at the trade deadline, he has provided vocal leadership on defense and has averaged 7.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in six games.

In Dedmon’s absence, Bruno Fernando and Damian Jones will see more playing time.
