Both Hawks reserves are in the top 10 of fan balloting released by the league on Thursday.

Carter, the 41-year-old power forward playing his 21st season, is No. 7 among Eastern Conference frontcourt players with 76,022 votes. He trails leader Giannis Antetokounmpo with 991,561. He immediately trails No. 6 Blake Griffin with 192,694.

Carter is a 10-time all-star. He last made the game 12 years ago in the 2006-07 season.

Lin is No. 8 among backcourt players with 62,573 votes. He trails leader Kyrie Irving with 910,329 votes. He immediately trails No. 7 Zach LaVine with 128,605 votes.

No other Hawks player in listed in the top 10 of each category.

LeBron James and Antetokounmpo are the overall leaders in each conference.

Fans account for 50 percent of the vote to determine the 10 starters for the All-Star Game, which will be played in Charlotte on Feb. 17. All current NBA players and a media panel each account for 25 percent of the vote. Each ballot features two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference.

Votingfor fans, players and media will conclude on Jan. 21. Starters, including the two captains, will be revealed on Jan. 24 on TNT.

The All-Star Game will follow last year’s format with two team captains drafting rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves in each conference, making their picks regardless of conference affiliation. The captains will be the All-Star starter from each conference who receives the most fan votesin his conference.
