Bembry, Hart to work out for Hawks before draft

St. Joseph’s DeAndre Bembry and Villanova’s Josh Hart will work out for the Hawks on Tuesday in advance of next month’s NBA Draft, according to a person familar with the situation.

Bembry, a 6-foot-6 small forward, averaged 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 37.3 minutes over 36 games as a junior this season. He is projected to be a late first-round pick.

Hart, a 6-6 shooting guard, was part of Villanova’s NCAA national championship team as a junior. He averaged 15.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 31.4 minutes in 40 games this season. Hart recently told SNY’s Adam Zagoria that he is undecided as to whether he will remain in the draft. Wednesday is the deadline for a final decision.

Zagoria reported that Kentucky guard Isaiah Briscoe is also scheduled to work out for the Hawks Tuesday and that Kansas forward Cheick Diallo was in on Monday.

Per team policy, the Hawks do not announce players brought in for pre-draft workouts.

The Hawks have three selections in the draft on June 23 with the 21st overall pick in the first round and the 44th and 54th overall picks in the second round.
