Not only did he win the Cy Young Award as the top pitcher in the National League for the fourth consecutive season, he also finished third in the MVP race behind winner Barry Larkin and runnerup Dante Bichette. And he also captured the sixth of 13 consecutive Gold Gloves and one of eight All-Star appearances.
