The transition of the Braves' home stadium from SunTrust Park to Truist Park continues.

The final pieces of the largest exterior SunTrust Park sign were removed from atop the third-base side of the stadium by two cranes Tuesday, clearing the way for signage that will bear the ballpark’s new name.

Still in place for now, though, is the SunTrust Park sign atop the center-field video board inside the stadium.

The Braves and Truist, the bank formed by the merger of SunTrust and BB&T, announced Truist Park as the stadium's new name last month. At that time, Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller said some Truist Park signs would be in place by the home opener April 3, with others coming later in the season.

In all, about 150 signs, large and small, eventually will be removed and replaced, Schiller said.
