With opening week just two weeks away, the Gwinnett Braves (Atlanta's top minor league affiliate) offered a walking tour of the new stadium to the media Thursday. Mike Sammond, Gwinnett Center manager of sponsorship sales and services, checks out the view by the left-field foul pole. The team moved to Lawrenceville from Richmond, Va.

A welder works on the construction of the wall that will be the "Batter's Eye" in centerfield. The wall is designed to limit distractions for the batter by giving him a solid-color backdrop when the ball is pitched to him.

The scoreboard isn't ready, but is expected to be completed by opening night in two weeks.

The stadium has an extensive recycled water program. These purple tubes are expected to reclaim 650,000 gallons of water every year, which will be used for watering the grass and cleaning.

There are 22 suites in the stadium and one Super Suite that includes a deck. This is the view from the Super Suite in right field.
