Kevin Gausman, ejected on Friday after only 28 pitches, will start Monday for the Braves against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

“I’m getting that ‘back in the day’ action — the three-man rotation,” Gausman joked. “It’s a little weird. I didn’t work out (Saturday) because I knew I was going to be pitching (Monday).

“The way I look at it, Friday was my bullpen.”

Gausman doesn’t expect any restrictions on his pitch count.

Rested Braves

The Braves rested three players Sunday: catcher Brian McCann, who had three RBIs in each of his past two games; left fielder Ronald Acuna, who went 4-for-4 on Saturday but felt back tightness as he ran out his final hit; and third baseman Josh Donaldson, who went 0-for-6 with a throwing error on Saturday.

Snitker said Acuna was fine and was available.

Donaldson, who had entered this weekend missing three straight games due to a calf injury, walked in the 10th and was removed for Fried as the pinch runner. Fried scored, helping the Braves to a, 3-1, win and a sweep in Miami.

Albies’ slam stat

At 22 years and 117 days, Ozzie Albies on Saturday became the youngest player in the majors to have three career grand slams since Alex Rodriguez reached that number at age 20 in 1996.

Albies had five RBI on Saturday. The last time a Braves leadoff man had more was Willie Harris in 2007.
