Jeff Francoeur has a new position.
Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Southeast announced Friday that the former outfielder would appear as an analyst on selected “Braves Live” pregame and postgame shows, with the potential of working his way into the booth for as yet undetermined in-game broadcasts.
“This is something I think I’ve known I wanted to do for a long time when I was done playing. It’s the perfect opportunity,” Francoeur said.

The former Parkview star quietly retired from baseball this season at just age 33 after not getting any opportunity to extend his career.

The first days of Francoeur’s retirement have been an eclectic mix of tee times, honey-dos, daddy day care, along with a side of gentleman farming.
As for missing the ritual of suiting up in a uniform and getting dirty daily, “I don’t,” he said.
