Braves prospect Braxton Davidson blasted a walk-off homer in the 10th inning of the Arizona Fall League championship game Saturday, clinching the title for Peoria.

However, as he approached home plate, the former first-round pick appeared to be injured. He needed help leaving the field.

It appears Davidson avoided significant damage after initial fear of a fracture. He’ll undergo further testing this week.

The first baseman hit .227 with a .885 OPS in 18 games in the AFL. His six home runs, including the walk-off, gave him a three-way tie for the league lead.

Davidson hasn’t materialized as the prospect the Braves hoped they were getting with the 32nd pick of the 2014 draft.

His power is obvious, but the strikeouts have piled up at absurd rates. He struck out 213 times in 416 at-bats with Single-A Florida last season, overshadowing his 20 homers.

The 22-year-old struck out 31 times in 66 AFL at-bats. He did have several impressive moments, including back-to-back two-homer games while winning AFL player of the week earlier in November.
