Braves Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux donned wig, mustache and goatee to fool reigning baseball MVP Kris Bryant in a gag set up by redbull.com.

Bryant, of the Chicago Cubs, was in Las Vegas on Monday, Feb. 13, filming what he thought was a workout video. What he got was a critical “sound guy” giving him tips.

When the original batting practice pitcher had to suddenly leave, the “sound guy,” aka Maddux, offered to step in.

Just “don’t hit me,” said Bryant. But it was Bryant who had trouble hitting the curveball of the four-time Cy Young winner.

Maddux is now an assistant baseball coach at UNLV, where his son, Chase, is a sophomore pitcher for the Rebels.
