The Braves signed right-hander pitcher Josh Tomlin to a minor league contract, with an invitation to major league spring training, on Thursday.

Tomlin, 34, appeared in five games with the Brewers this spring, including three starts. He went 2-1 with a 4.80 ERA after joining the Brewers n a minor league deal on Feb. 7. He was released Wednesday.

Tomlin spent his entire nine-year MLB career with the Indians and compiled a 61-53 record with a 4.77 ERA. He was 2-5 with a 6.14 ERA in 32 games, including nine starts, last season.
