Atlanta United’s eighth MLS season will kick off Feb. 24 with the club facing Columbus, the recently crowned league champs, in Ohio.

The team’s 34-game MLS season will conclude Oct. 19 at Orlando.

Atlanta United will play each of the 14 other teams in the Eastern Conference once at home and once away and will face six teams from the Western Conference: Houston; LAFC, which was beaten by Columbus in MLS Cup; Minnesota United, which will have a new manager; at St. Louis, which won its conference last season as an expansion team; at Real Salt Lake and at L.A. Galaxy.

The All-Star game is scheduled to be played July 24 in Columbus, Ohio.

Leagues Cup is scheduled to begin July 26 and end Aug. 25. It will begin after the Copa America, which will include two games played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, begins June 20 in Atlanta and ends July 14 in Miami.

The MLS Cup is scheduled to be played Dec. 7.

Atlanta United’s summer will be congested. It is scheduled to play six games in May, five in June and five in July. The toughest stretch may be having to go to Foxborough, Massachusetts, to face New England on July 3 before flying across the country to play Real Salt Lake on July 6. Its next game will be at Montreal on July 13, marking the longest stretch of road matches. Atlanta United isn’t scheduled to play more than two consecutive home matches at any point.

Atlanta United will play at Miami, which may have Lionel Messi, on May 29 and will host the Herons on Sept. 18.
