Atlanta United will play at Montreal at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the wild-card round of the MLS playoffs.

Atlanta United finished as the ninth seed after defeating Orlando 2-1 on Saturday. Montreal defeated NYCFC 2-0 to clinch the eighth seed.

Atlanta United was beaten by Montreal 1-0 in July. It arguably was the team’s worst performance this season. It failed to put a shot on goal and was forced to play the second half for most of the second half because of two dubious yellow cards given to Stian Gregersen, one in the first half and one in the second.

Montreal defeated Atlanta United 2-1 in September because of two goals scored by Five Stripes legend Josef Martinez.

Atlanta United (10-14-10) is led by Saba Lobjanidze, who scored nine goals with seven assists. He scored the first goal in Saturday’s win at Orlando.

Montreal (11-13-10) is led by Martinez, who scored 11 goals.
