A record of more than 26,500 tickets have been sold and distributed for the SheBelieves Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with almost two months remaining before the U.S. plays Japan and Canada plays Brazil on April 6.
The previous SheBelieves Cup record of 26,500 was set in 2020 and 2017 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
Tickets are being sold for the lower bowl and 200 level, but the stadium can be opened to full capacity.
Kickoff for the U.S. match is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
The second round of the tournament is scheduled to be played at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio. Those matches are scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 9. The U.S. will play in the second match regardless of its result in Atlanta.
The U.S., the tournament’s defending champion, is ranked No. 2 by FIFA, Japan is No. 8, Canada is No. 10 and Brazil is No. 11.
Tickets purchased for each game date will be valid for both matches on that match day.
The U.S. men will play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the Copa America tournament June 27. The U.S. Soccer Federation is expected to break ground in April on its new headquarters and training center in Fayette County.
