Hector Villalba trained with Atlanta United’s first team on Thursday at the practice facility in Marietta. Miguel Almiron didn’t, but did work out with a coach before the team came out.

For the first time since the team started in 2017, neither played in last week’s 2-1 win against Chicago that clinched a spot in next year’s CONCACAF Champions League and tied the MLS single-season points record (69).

Atlanta United will wrap up the regular season at Toronto on Sunday with a chance to clinch the Supporters’ Shield and break the single-season points record.

Almiron has 12 goals and 14 assists in 32 appearances this season. Villalba has seven goals and nine assists in 27 appearances.
