Miles Robinson suffered a left hamstring strain, but Atlanta United hasn’t revealed his status for Saturday’s MLS playoff game against New England at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. He is being evaluated on a weekly basis, according to the team.

The team’s official injury list for the game will be submitted to the league Thursday.

Robinson sustained the injury during a workout while with the U.S. men’s national team. It happened while Robinson was doing exercises after Friday’s win against Cuba in Washington, D.C. Robinson didn’t play in the game.

Robinson, 22, has been Atlanta United's most consistent defender this season. On Monday, he was named a finalist for MLS Defender of the Year. He appeared in all 34 league games, including 33 starts. He was the team's first draft pick, selected No. 2 in the first round in 2017.

If Robinson can’t play Saturday, manager Frank de Boer could choose to play either Michael Parkhurst, Flo Pogba or Jeff Larentowicz alongside Leandro Gonzalez Pirez and Franco Escobar, if he continues to use three centerbacks.

Parkhurst, who is retiring at season's end, has 15 starts as part of 20 appearances this season. Pogba has six appearances this season. Larentowicz primarily is a defensive midfielder who can play centerback.
