Hector Villalba and Atlanta United will host Chicago on Saturday at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium. The game, which will kick off at 4 p.m., is sold out.

Villalba, signed as the team’s first Designated Player, answered a few questions on Thursday about the season.

Q: Have you had the impact on games that you hoped to have in the first two?

A: No. I’m really happy with the work that the team is doing. But I know that individually I haven’t scored. That will come with more hard work.

Q: It seems that teams aren’t attacking down his side, possibly because of his speed and Ty’s (Mears) speed. Is that an accurate observation? Therefore, there’s typically a lot of players in front of him.

A: It could be, but not just for our speed but also how Ty and I communicate in terms of our defensive abilities.

Q: On playing Chicago.

A: It will be a tough game, but we are going to try to start strong in the first 30 minutes and we know that it just depends upon us.

Q: On the importance of the win against Minnesota United.

A: The win was big for us a team, especially getting that first win on the road. But now we are focused on getting ready for another good test against Chicago.
