Atlanta United academy player Lagos Kunga was one of 21 players called into the U.S. Under-20 national team for the upcoming World Cup in Korea.
The tournament runs from May 20-June 11.
The U.S. is in a group with Ecuador, Senegal and Saudi Arabia. It will play Ecuador on May 22 (4 a.m. ET), Senegal on May 25 (7 a.m. ET) and Saudi Arabia on May 28 (5 a.m. ET). The team’s group matches will be broadcast live on FS1.
Kunga is a native of Tucker. His family moved to Georgia from Russia in 2006. They are originally from Angola.
