Impressive wins over the Beasts of the East. Another milestone for the face of the franchise.

And now the Hawks are being mentioned as championship contenders. Well, sort of.

Entering Wednesday’s home game against the Pistons, the Hawks stand atop the Southeast Division and have beaten the other two Eastern Conference division leaders (Boston and Cleveland) twice this season.

A feat no other team in the NBA has accomplished this season.
