Hawks power forward John Collins, who has been out since March 11 with a right foot strain (including a plantar fascia tear) and right ring finger sprain, has been cleared to do full-court running and shooting.
With the postseason approaching, it’s a good sign for Atlanta and Collins, who could be seen gingerly getting shots up Monday at practice. There’s still no timeline on a return for Collins, who is the Hawks’ second-leading scorer (16.2 points per game) and rebounder (7.8 per game), per Hawks coach Nate McMillan, though his increased activity is a positive.
“Being a little bit more active (Monday), doing a little running, a little shooting,” McMillan said of Collins. “So each day he seems to be improving … really, (Monday) was the first day where he has been doing a little light running full-court and shooting today. But no timeline.”
