The Hawks waived A.J. Lawson and signed guard DaQuan Jeffries, the team announced Thursday.

Jeffries averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per game last season with the Kings and Rockets, and finished his college career at Tulsa (averaging four points and two rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game).

More roster moves likely will come in the preseason, as the Hawks signed some players to training-camp deals (including Lawson) to gain their G League rights, so they can play for the Skyhawks in College Park.
