The Hawks have waived two-way wing Seth Lundy, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Lundy, who the Hawks selected with the 46th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, played in nine games for the Hawks last season but spent most of his time with the College Park Skyhawks, the team’s G League affiliate. He averaged 20.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks on 40% from 3-point range on nine attempts per game.

But the sophomore wing’s first two seasons in the league have been marred by injuries.

He had surgery in May to remove a bone spur and returned to the team’s rotation for during the exhibition season. He hit a game-winning 3 in the Hawks exhibition matchup against the Pacers on Oct. 8 but sprained his ankle while working out before the Hawks’ next exhibition game. Lundy was to re-evaluated in January.

The Hawks now have an open two-way roster spot that they could sign one of the players on the Skyhawks to the roster.
