Hawks guard Trae Young has earned an NBA Cup All-Tournament Team nod.

The NBA announced Thursday that a media panel named Young to the team after the Hawks’ run to the NBA Cup semifinals. In five games, Young averaged 24.2 points, 10.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and one steal in 36 minutes. The 26-year-old led all players in assists per game during NBA Cup games.

Young finished with 12 votes among the 20 panelists polled. Teammate Jalen Johnson received four votes.

He scored 20-plus points and had 10 or more assists in each of his last four NBA Cup games, including a near triple-double in the Hawks’ semifinal loss to the Bucks on Dec. 14. He finished with 35 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in 40 minutes.

Young trails only Russell Westbrook for 30-plus points, 10-plus assists games after recording 83 of them across his seven seasons in the league.

Young has helped the Hawks to a 14-13 record, with wins in seven of their past nine games. He helped them pick up a six-win streak with victories over the Cavaliers, Hornets, Pelicans, Bucks and Lakers, where he scored the game-winner.

Among the other players selected for the NBA Cup All-Tournament Team were guard Damian Lillard and forward Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Bucks, guard Shai Gilgeou-Alexander of the Thunder and center Alperen Sengun of the Rockets.
