The Hawks will play their final regular-season meeting against the Bulls without several key players in the rotation.
Ahead of Wednesday’s 8 p.m. game at the United Center, the Hawks released a lengthy injury report that ruled out several players.
The Hawks' injury list:
Kobe Bufkin (right shoulder surgery)
De’Andre Hunter (left foot soreness)
Jalen Johnson (right shoulder inflammation)
Larry Nance Jr. (right hand surgery)
Zaccharie Risacher (left adductor irritation)
Trae Young (right rib contusion)
Cody Zeller (not with team)
Many of the players on the list already have missed several of the team’s most recent games, including Johnson, who has not played since Jan. 3.
Hunter missed Tuesday’s win over the Suns with the same injury that is holding him out Wednesday.
Both Young and Risacher played Tuesday, with this being the first game that the rookie wing has missed all season.
The Hawks already have announced that Bufkin would miss the remainder of the season, while Nance would be out for an extended period of time.
To ensure that they have the required number of available players for Wednesday night, the team transferred guard Keaton Wallace and wing Daeqwon Plowden from their G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks, to the Hawks.
Wallace has been active for 18 games with the Hawks after playing extended minutes at the beginning of the season, as well as last month. He recently hit a game-winner in overtime for the Skyhawks to defeat the Cleveland Charge on Tuesday.
The Hawks signed Plowden to a two-way contract last month after they waived former two-way wing and 2023 second-round pick Seth Lundy. Plowden has yet to make his Hawks debut. He has averaged 15 points on 37.9% shooting with the Skyhawks this season.
