Saints quarterback Drew Brees will reportedly retire.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports said prior to New Orleans’ 30-20 loss to Tom Brady and Tampa Bay in the Divisional Playoff that Brees — who just turned 42 last week— would retire once the team’s postseason concluded.

“Drew Brees, tonight will be the last game he plays at the Superdome,” Glazer said on Fox’s pre-game show. “And whenever his last game is, if they lose tonight, if they lose next week, that will be the last game he plays in the NFL. Drew Brees will be done. That’s it. Tom Brady will continue. Drew Brees, this will be his last game in the Superdome.”

Brees completed 19 of 34 passes for 134 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions in Sunday’s loss.

With more than 80,300 career yards, Brees is the NFL’s all-time passing leader. He trails only Brady (583) with 572 touchdowns. Brees, the Chargers’ second-round pick in 2001, is a 13-time Pro Bowl selection who won a Super Bowl in 2010 with New Orleans. He is 172-115 in 288 career games with San Diego and New Orleans.

Brees holds a 19-10 record against the Atlanta Falcons. He missed the two games against Atlanta this season with a rib injury.
