LANDOVER, Md. -- After the Bucs blasted the Panthers 48-14, the Falcons will need a win over the Commanders to maintain control of the NFC South.

The Bucs improved to 9-7 and close out the regular season by hosting the Saints, who lost 25-10 to the Raiders. The Falcons (8-7) are set to play the Commanders (10-5) on Sunday night at Northwest Field.

With a win over the Commanders and over the Panthers next Sunday, the Falcons can claim the NFC South title because they beat Tampa Bay twice this season.

With cornerbacks Kevin King (concussion) and Antonio Hamilton Sr. (quadriceps) declared out, the Falcons on Saturday promoted cornerback Lamar Jackson to the game-day roster. Offensive tackle Tyrone Wheatley Jr. also was promoted to the game-day roster.

Hamilton was placed on injured reserve, and inside linebacker Josh Woods was signed to replace him on the 53-man roster.

In addition to King the inactives included running back Carlos Washington Jr., defensive tackle Brandon Dorlus, left tackle Elijah Wilkinson, offensive tackle Brandon Parker and wide receiver Casey Washington.

The Commanders inactives include: wide receiver Dyami Brown, quarterback Jeff Driskel (third QB), cornerback Marshon Lattimore, safety Tyler Owens, inside linebacker Dominique Hampton, outside linebacker Jordan Magee and tackle Andrew Wylie.
