Braves fans have noticed a voice missing from the team’s telecasts recently: lead analyst Jeff Francoeur’s.

He’ll be back in the Bally Sports South and Southeast broadcast booth for this weekend’s series against the Diamondbacks and for most of the remainder of the season, according to the networks.

They said their current tentative schedule has Francoeur calling 53 of the remaining 62 regular-season games. The number is subject to change because adjustments are made if schedule conflicts arise for the broadcasters.

Francoeur has been off most of the Braves telecasts in June and July, but Bally Sports said he’s expected to wind up calling about the same number of games this year as in past seasons. He told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution before the season that he’d work about 105 of the 162 Braves games.

The series against the Diamondbacks on Bally Sports Southeast will mark Francoeur’s first Braves telecasts since a July 8-10 series against the Nationals.

Bally Sports isn’t Francoeur’s only broadcasting role as his career in the booth continues to flourish. He also works for Turner Sports, sharing the analyst duties on a season-long nationally televised package of Tuesday night MLB games on TBS.

This week, Francoeur and play-by-play announcer Bob Costas called a Mets-Yankees game on TBS; next week, Francoeur is scheduled to work a Dodgers-Giants game on TBS. He also will be an analyst for postseason games on Turner, as he has been since 2019, the same year he became the lead analyst on Braves regular-season telecasts.

Francoeur and Bally Sports analyst Brian Jordan, both former Braves outfielders, will be team captains and participants in the Braves’ alumni-weekend softball home-run derby before Saturday night’s game at Truist Park. The derby will be televised during the Braves Live pregame show, which starts at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Bally Sports Southeast.

Play-by-play announcer Chip Caray will call the home-run derby and interact on air with Francoeur and Jordan during the competition. Several other Braves television analysts will participate, with Paul Byrd and Peter Moylan pitching to batters and Nick Green serving as a catcher while wearing a GoPro camera.
