Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson continued showing his power Monday. He smacked another home run – his fifth in 10 games – though his team fell to the Yankees, 5-1.

It was Swanson’s 25th homer of the season. Only San Diego’s Fernando Tatis Jr. has more among shortstops (34). Since July 4, Swanson leads shortstops in hits (58), homers (12), runs (35) and RBIs (41).

Swanson was hitting .324/.375/.583 over 35 games since the All-Star break entering Monday. His offensive renaissance has keyed the Braves’ revival. Despite seeing their nine-game winning streak ended Monday, the Braves entered Tuesday 4-1/2 games ahead of the second-place Phillies.
