2024 Heisman hopefuls: Quarterbacks lead the way

It’s no surprise to see the early list of 2024 Heisman Trophy odds headlined by Quarterbacks. After all, eight of the last ten Heisman winners have been QBs with Alabama’s Devonta Smith (2020) and Derrick Henry (2015) being the only exceptions.

Ewers was impressive last season putting up nearly 3,500 yards through the air with 22 Touchdowns to 6 Interceptions.

Texas lost major talent through the NFL Draft including its top Wide Receivers from last season, but gained re-enforcements through the transfer portal with speedster Isaiah Bond coming over from the University of Alabama. Dillon Gabriel (Quarterback, Oregon): After transferring to the Oregon Ducks from Oklahoma, Dillon Gabriel comes in on the list with the third-best odds to win the 2024 Heisman. Gabriel is an extremely experienced player with nearly 15,000 pass yards and over 150 total Touchdowns so far in his College Football career (previously played at UCF and Oklahoma).
