Looking for something to do for this Labor Day weekend? Tybee Island is hosting their annual Labor Day Beach Bash Saturday and Sunday on the Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion.

This is event is free to the public, and includes a Fleetwood Mac Tribute at 7 p.m., Saturday and a live performance from Swingin' Medallions at 7 p.m. Sunday. At around 9:15 on Sunday, there will also be fireworks show, the show's second return since it was stopped in 2020 due to COVID.

Discover Tybee Marketing Director Charissa Murray said that residents should keep in mind that there will be visitors on the island, and there may be issues with traffic.

"Usually Labor Day isn't that bad, though," Murray said. "It's such a laid-back time, it's different than any of the other firework's events and it's so much more local, too."

Murray said people should grab a towel, sit back and relax on the beach and just watch the live performances and fireworks this weekend.
