Lots of luck in trying to control AI

Pandora’s box has been opened. Lots of luck to our lawmakers when they decide how to protect the public from AI, a system that may well make all our decisions for us. (Georgia lawmakers weigh ways to protect public yet promote AI,” AJC on Dec. 4).

Perhaps those of us here before the creature arrived will still be able to think for ourselves. Still, our children will depend on artificial intelligence to make all their decisions as they now depend on social media for guidance. Why bother to think or learn when someone or something will do all that for you? Reality will be created by robots.

We can take comfort knowing our children will still have to be able to read and write and do numbers before they can fully take advantage of the new technology. We need more scientists, engineers and pros who can produce comprehensive reports of information that AI will accept as factual.

Democrats fail to explain election loss

After months of severe and constant denigration and lies and misrepresentations of Trump and the MAGA cause, the Democrats and their media arm are still stuck in a negative, un-American form of messaging with all sorts of explanations for their loss “but, but, but.” The magical “but” is used to once again clarify their position and loss by blaming Trump and team and American voters. Every article published by newspapers or every “talking head” discussion on TV always gets around to statements about how evil Trump is and how his plans will ruin America — the “but “comments.

One simple word, “but,” still plays heavily on the emotions of Democrats, leftists, elitists, progressives, wannabe activists and hateful, envious Americans who just cannot give up their lies and fantasies and accept a loss. Their future rationale is all based on maintaining credence for “but comments” as their immature ideologies fail.
