Well done, 104.7 The Fish
The sale of the company and the sign-off of Christian station radio station 104.7 The Fish is a great loss for the Atlanta airwaves. The station, its on-air personalities and benevolent activities in our communities have been an impactful blessing and will be missed. Well done, good and faithful servants.
May God bless all those (and their families) who have contributed to this “gem” in broadcast radio.

DEI being blamed for everything
I was going to start this letter with the word unbelievable, but it really isn’t. Sixty-seven people were tragically killed in a midair collision, and President Donald Trump spent more time attacking diversity, equity and inclusion efforts than consoling the families of the deceased. Has the man any compassion or common sense? He has no idea what caused the crash, yet he was happy to use it to promote his racist — let’s call them what they are — anti-DEI efforts.
We can assume DEI will now be blamed for anything that goes wrong in our country. Egg prices too high? Blame DEI. Longest government shutdown in U.S. history? Blame DEI. Ship hits a bridge? Blame DEI. Hurricane hits Puerto Rico? Blame DEI.
I assume Trump is not a fan of former President Harry S. Truman, as the buck definitely does not stop with this president.

Not too difficult to speak up on convictions
Former U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler was recently questioned before her appointment to head the Small Business Administration. Though I still think she has some conflicts of interest, I’m interested in why she would not address hypothetical questions.
When asked if she would do something illegal for President Donald Trump, she said she wouldn’t address it. To me, that means she would.
We all address hypotheticals every day. It’s not that hard, especially if you have morals and convictions. Most times, it’s called “Plan B.”

Look who’s calling the kettle black
President Donald Trump issued an executive order that targets transgender service members, asserting that “many mental and physical conditions are incompatible with active duty.”
The order accuses transgender military personnel of living in conflict “with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life.” But here is where the extreme lowering of standards by Trump has brought us. The commander in chief and the secretary of defense are either unable or unwilling to meet that standard of an honorable, truthful and disciplined lifestyle. How can they expect those who serve to meet a standard that those in command are incapable of meeting themselves?
