Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, practices polyamory. It means she’s open with partners about her other relationships but isn’t monogamous to just one.

She revealed the news Wednesday during her mother’s Facebook show “Red Table Talk” but noted that she can’t see herself “going past two partners.”

During the episode, Smith told her mother and grandmother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, “with polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy because that’s what everyone around you says is ‘the right thing to do.’”

Willow Smith hopes to educate others on non-monogamous relationships by sharing her own experiences.

Pinkett Smith said she supports her daughter’s choice and that everyone has the right to choose a lifestyle that is best fit for them.

“With polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy because that's what everyone around you says is ‘the right thing to do.'"
