It appears the mystery has been solved. According to the actual store where the dress is sold, Roman Originals in the UK, the dress is made in black and blue, red and black, pink and black and white and black -- but not gold and white.

For all those people who saw white and gold -- our condolences. But, you can always blame science. According to "Wired," it's all about how your eyes interpret light. And apparently that interpretation is varied. So, you're not crazy if you don't see black and blue, your brain just works in a different way.

And, if you didn't see blue and black, you are far from alone. Even celebs joined the debate after a photo of a dress caused social-media users everywhere to question their eyesight.
