President Donald Trump has agreed to an interview by Margaret Brennan of CBS News’ “Face the Nation” for a pregame interview ahead of Super Bowl 53.

Trump will meet with Brennan later this week to tape the interview, and excerpts will air Sunday morning on the show. Additional clips from the interview will air during CBS’ pregame show. Super Bowl 53, taking place Feb. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, will be shown on CBS.

Former president George W. Bush began the Super Bowl pregame interview custom, and former president Barack Obama continued the tradition during his terms.

Trump sat for an interview with then-Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly before the 2017 Super Bowl, the president skipped the tradition last year. White House officials turned down the invitation from NBC.

Trump will be on TV again two days later, when he delivers the State of the Union address.
