Trump-Pence presidential campaign now promoting COVID-19 masks

The masks come in white and blue, and are available on the president’s campaign app

In the last several days, President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have faced criticism for not wearing protective masks. Despite avoiding the protective gear in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the duo’s campaign is now promoting masks that advertise the Trump-Pence 2020 presidential run.

On Thursday night, Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale shared an image of himself wearing one of the promotional masks, which is embossed with the words “Trump Pence Keep America Great! 2020”

Parscale also shared a promotional image of a blue version of the mask.

Some Trump supporters praised the masks as the “only mask” they would wear and asked for details about purchasing.

Others mocked the campaign-rallying masks. Several pointed out the masks seem like an odd choice for the Trump-Pence campaign because a few days ago the president was photographed without a mask while visiting the Honeywell plant in Phoenix.

Before boarding Air Force One to go to the plant, Trump told reporters he would wear a mask “if it was a mask facility.” He also said he and his staff have been tested for the coronavirus.

Though Parscale said in his tweet that more masks were "coming soon," the masks are not currently available on the donaldjtrump.com site.
