Traffic during Tuesday’s evening commute is backed up on Ga. 400 North due to an injury crash, authorities said.

Investigators are on the scene of the crash between Haynes Bridge Road and Old Milton Parkway, according to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. The department described it as a “major injury crash," but did not provide further details.

The road was temporarily blocked, but it reopened about 5:45 p.m. Motorists are still advised to avoid the area.

At one point, traffic was backed up to Holcomb Bridge Road.
