Actor Al Pacino will play a main character in a new movie about about the Penn State football scandal.

According to Variety, Pacino will play former head football coach Joe Paterno.

HBO is producing the movie. It will be directed by Barry Levinson.

Paterno died in 2012, months after he was fired when allegations of sexual assault against former coach Jerry Sandusky surfaced. Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts and sentenced to 30-60 years in prison.

The film does not yet have a name.
