An 18-year-old TikTok star, well-known online as Timbo the Redneck, died over the weekend while performing a truck-driving stunt in his friend’s front yard in Florida.
The social media celebrity, whose real name was Timothy Hall, died on Sunday after he was tossed from his beloved pickup as he attempted to execute a series of donuts, a maneuver that involves the driver whipping a vehicle in small circles while accelerating. In a YouTube video, Timothy’s future brother-in-law Tony, who appeared in some of his videos, said Timbo fell from the driver’s side window before the truck toppled over.
“His whole body, that truck landed on top of him, said Tony. “He’s passed away.”
Hall’s mother, Tessie, also appeared in the clip to confirm the news.
“He won’t be making anymore videos,” she said.
“My son was in a bad accident yesterday and didn’t make it and I want to thank everybody for all the fans that he had,” the mourning mother said
Hall, who had only just graduated high school this year, amassed more than 200,000 followers and 2.5 million likes with his controversial Confederate comedy videos detailing life in the South or #LivingSouthern. A proud Donald Trump supporter living in Jennings, Florida, the TikToker would often post about fishing, truck stunts, and dipping.
“He loved TikTok and just believed in all the fans and everybody that supported him and it meant a lot to him. Sometimes he wouldn’t listen to me, he’d say, ‘I gotta do this TikTok!’” Tessie continued. “My heart is just so broken.”
