The hotel industry continues to worry about short-term rental companies like Airbnb being allowed to operate without clear regulations and possibly taking their business.

Supporters of non-traditional rentals say the service is meeting the growing demand of customers looking for places to stay.

To make sure short-term rental companies regulated out of business, Marietta Republican Rep. Matt Dollar has proposed a bill that would keep local governments from banning the accommodation option.
